If any of you have been keeping up on the Duke rape scandal you will have noticed how the media has been quick to show how “unhesitating” the players were about coming in for DNA testing (i.e. “They must be innocent!”). Here’s a good critique pointing out the biases of the coverage of the case in the mainstream media:

I’d like to believe my cat Mika is this tough but I think she would have shied away from the bear– even though the first time she saw deer in our yard she crouched, twitched her tail and made the same “I want to eat that” noises that she makes when she sees a bird.
